The rest of the day brought grocery shopping, visiting my Mom Mom, having Wendy the eyebrowless Backflow tester ( who was VERY nice, but had no eyebrows) test our backflow system - no problems.... and eating too much pizza. We all went outside to run JD's energy out and I rode his bike with them on it while James chased us like a monster. Capri loves monster games, JD gets totally freaked out. I was surprised at just how out of shape I am. I'm still hanging on that I can crash my swim class at the end of this month. It's just too perfect, mon-fri 7 -8am... no interruptions to anyone's schedule. I NEED to do it for mental and physical health, I hope it will help me shave off this last 20+ pounds that are left from the baby and provide me with energy and a break from the kids everyday. I'll be totally depressed if it doesn't work out.

Actually, that kind of a veiled adult theme has happened in a Disney movie before. Think of the beginning of finding Nemo. The mom and dad are lovingly looking at all of their eggs and whoosh, the mom and all but one of hundreds of offspring are dead, and that one (Nemo) is a little damaged.
ReplyDeleteI will be praying that it works out for your swim class. It does sound perfect. I know how important that time would be for you on many levels.
I was thinking the same thing as I was reading this...It seems like a lot of supposed "kid" movies have difficult (at best) adult themes behind them...I have been looking forward to Up though....haha Yes, Capri loves the sleeping giant game with Grandpa, and JD I think "pretends" to, when really he is somewhat legitmately afraid...haha And I will join Di in prayer that you get that swim class...you are so much energetic then me...but you know what, I bet starting your day with exercise will give you more energy ALL day long... I LOVE that you have written all these posts....I have a total feel now for your whole week. I LOVE IT!!!
