a blah day

Here are some pics from today... check out the chub on that baby! And... maybe you can't tell on your computer, but there is a significant difference in eye color between JD and Tella.... She's still full on blue, but he's turning pretty green! Hooray!

Today was a slow day, I just don't feel right. I was FREEZING last night for no reason (james can vouch, it was so weird) and today I just don't feel right. I don't feel sick, just weird. I have a giant blister on my finger from last night's burn, it's literally the size of a dime - and getting bigger. Gross.

I spent the bulk of my day trying to explain to Capri how the library works. She wants to read Purplicious so bad, but it's checked out. She wants to know who has it. I say I don't know who has it, it must be another little girl who likes Pinkalicious. So, she waits a few minutes and asks "Is the little girl who has Purplicious all done now?" I have tried many ways of explaining, James has too, but she just can't comprehend it.  I hope it goes well when we have to return Pinkalicious, I don't forsee it going well at all. We may have to try and purchase these books - but at $16.99 a piece I don't see that happening. Maybe I'll order used ones on Amazon? Why are books so expensive?

James got me an awesome book about Jews who survived the Holocaust by hiding in Italy. If you know me, you know I am obsessed with Italy. Anyway, it was so interesting I've branched out and gotten to reading more about the Holocaust. It's absolutely fascinating.

  1. She's sooo darling and getting soo big....and I have thought JD's eyes were green for a while now...a real different pretty shade of blue/green...they are gorgeous like the rest of him...So funny you were talking about buying Pinkalicious cuz I was just thinking today, Grandma ought to buy that book cuz what is going to happen when it has to go back to the library...And you know my fascination on books in general. As far as the library book goes, tape it and repair it, and give it back. It is done ALL the time...as long as the book is still readable that way...Are you finished with the book he got you?? I would like to read it...I have a facination with the Holocaust...love you

  2. I totally agree...tape it. Things happen and that is one of them. I can tell that little Capri NEEDS that book, Grandma. Those pictures are darling. I clicked on the pictures and her eyes are beautiful! So are JD's!
