Now, did I grow up with ranch dressing? No. I grew up with two options, Italian or Catalina. In my younger years I chose Catalina. As I have aged, Italian has become my staple. Especially on spinach salad.. yum!
But the hands down favorite for me? A good honey mustard. End. of. story.
How about you?
Yeah!! I'm sooo glad you are on....For me, the vote would have to be Ranch....I will say Honey Mustard would be second....but only with "some" kinds of salads...for instance, anything Chicken, especially Fried chicken..yummm...but for like a Seafood, or a Spinach, no way....And as for Italian dressing?? As a general rule, I don't like it at all...I "kind" of like Olive Garden's....but Italian dressing gives me the throat thing I discovered, so I will probably never eat it again....haha
ReplyDeleteGlad you are on, Larissa! I would say that Honey Mustard would be one of my favorites on almost anything. I also LOVE Bob's Blue Cheese. I like Italian on certain things. For instance, my favorite is to slice tomatoes, cucmbers and onions and mix them together with Italian. My mouth is watering just thinking of it. But to not like Ranch, is hard to imagine. It is really a staple. It is almost like not liking salt or sugar. LOL I can equate it to chocolate, I guess. Most people LOVE it. It is really only OK for me. When I have chocolate chip cookies, I eat around them, cuz to me they kind of wreck the taste of the cookie. I am sure a majority of folks would find that unimaginable.
ReplyDeleteIt's downright weird Di...HOW can you NOT like chocolate??? A piece of dark choc. slowly melting in my mouth sounds WONDEROUS right now...haha
ReplyDeleteThe eating around the chocolate chips was frightening Di. Larissa, I'm thinking maybe you haven't had a really good Ranch dressing. There must be a hundred variations. I'm not kidding. My favorite is from this restaraunt called the Steer and Stein. THE BEST RANCH IN THE WEST!
ReplyDeleteI guess it could be that I haven't had enough kinds, but I doubt it. I just don't like the flavor. I mean, what is ranch? Italian is olive oil, vinegar, and herbs... honey mustard is, well, honey & mustard...bleu cheese is also self explanatory... but ranch?? what comprises a ranch??
ReplyDeleteDiane - I LOVE chocolate, but I also find myself wanting more cookie and less chocolate in chocolate chip cookies.... I choose the ones with the least chips!
How funny, I look for the ones with a guaranteed chip in every bite. What's the point in a bite of a chocolate chip cookie without the chip?
