My poor husband had surgery on Monday. I was desperate to get pictures of his arms before the surgery... and though I tried and tried, he would not allow it because he said it was "weird". I wholeheartedly disagreed, so I asked his mom to help me get pics... and we were successful! Thanks mom!
So here you go:
Bumps pre-surgery
And here he is all done, snapped out of the anesthesia, with ice packs and bandages. He has to keep the bandages on till tomorrow, and he is anxious to get them off.

He's recovering well, but is having trouble sleeping comfortably. He's been at work everyday and I think he's just beat and will come home early tomorrow.
Had to share theses pics too:
I just got back from an open house that one of my friends threw for another friend who is starting her own business called Rockabella bows. She makes bows and headbands and the cutest stuff ever for little girls - Oh MY GOSH it was sooooo cute. She has a website, but it's not quite done yet. I'm going to have to hold myself back from buying..... maybe one or two won't hurt! www.rockabellabows.com AND, she wants to use my little Tella to model her stuff. Tella would be a perfect model for bows..... course I'm a little biased!
Last thing - I talked to JD's teacher this morning to see if I could bring in cupcakes for his class tomorrow because it's his birthday on Saturday. She said sure - just one thing.... I thought she was going to tell me nothing with nuts since there are lots of kids with nut allergies this year. BUT NO - she said... If you want to bake something at home and bring it in we have to have a TB test on file for you. I was like what??? No big deal, I'll just buy something, I say. She was so apologetic and felt so weird about it. She's a baker, and loves to bring things in for the kids. So she understands me wanting to make something. But it's no big deal - we found cupcakes at Vons that have footballs on them and JD was sold. But really, a TB test?
Well, you have had a pretty strong willed psatient, haha...though he has seemed to do pretty good. I'm sure he is dying to get those bandages off. I'm curious to see how his cut up arms look...All the pics are good. Tella's eyes over the cup...and her running in her sleep is hilarious for some reason, haha As for the TB test to bake from home, MAJOR EASY!!! That really does seem ridiculous to me. I can hardly believe that things have gotten so fanatical. Is there some out break of TB again that they have to be that I don't know about??? Anyway, I'm sure JD loves football cupcakes. Little Scuff...a birthday celebration at school...See ya Sat. Love, Mom
ReplyDeleteOH, I forgot to mention our genius child....GOOD JOB CAPRI.....She has improved just since Mon. when I was there.
ReplyDeleteI hope Jimmy is feeling better and can get some sleep. Being tired always makes things worse. The pics of the kids are darling. The running one is especially funny! The TB thing is so silly. Do you need to run a germ panel to see if you have the flu or a cold? And of course the workers at Vons are all in the best of health!
ReplyDeleteOh, and the arm pics really added to the "feel" of the story.
ReplyDeleteI could just give you a TB test...if you want...that's pretty much my life...immunizations.
ReplyDeleteIs Capri supposed to know her letters and be able to write before she goes to kindergarten??
ReplyDeleteSorry......as you know I'm not big on school for littles.
