Just a typical sunday

Here's how today went....
darling shot of new haircut before church:
Both girls sporting new bows from Grandma... can you see Tella's tan lines? Clearly the inside of her rolls don't get much sun!
Daddy and Capri having a "girl" picnic, nevermind that Daddy is a boy, he made that point but Capri just said "It's ok, you can just eat all the food."
Isn't he an outstanding Daddy? He's a pushover when it comes to his girls!!!
And Tella, at bath time... is she a happy baby or what? Every time I get the camera she breaks out in a giant smile!

And look at my basil plant going crazy in the background.... Capri loves basil, eats it right off the plant! She's just flabbergasted that some kids don't eat basil at their houses, she says they don't "know" basil. She's my little Italian mama - loves olive oil, olives, salami, good parmiggiano reggiano, and basil! JD does too, though he's not wild about eating basil right off the plant.

I was thinking recently of making the point to James that we haven't had any ants this summer. Good thing I didn't, because as soon as he came home tonight he found a cupboard full. Gross. I hate ants.

And finally, as it turns out, I can't have chocolate either. It REALLY bothers Tella's stomach.  I had my fair share of peanut m&m's last night (shouldn't of for many reasons) and all day long she's been barfing like a mad woman. This is really hard. Cutting out good things like dairy and chocolate make eating not nearly as fun. I find myself craving milk... and I'm not really a big milk drinker. Oh well, it's just for a few more months. Right?

  1. I LOVE the pics...the girls are sooo cute. Capri looks even more like Jim with her bangs if that is possible. I have even caught a glimpse or two of myself, haha....Jim is a great dad and I've seen for myself how wrapped around their fingers he is...lucky girls....I love that Tella loves to take pics...that will be great in the future....Ants HATE heat. Always expect an invasion somewhere when we are in a heat wave. No choc is huge, sorry. Milk is hard enough, choc. is just sad. Poor Tella....Hope she outgrows this stuff...Love you all...mom

  2. Such great pic's Larissa. Thanks.
And I love indoor picnics. I thought that was just an East Coast thing.
My heart broke yesterday when Capri went to the play room and it was destroyed. You should have seen her face....sooo sad.
    It just didn't compute.
Hopefully the carpet will be in today and we can get things back to normal.
You are an amazing mom....What a high calling.
