We had another big day today. My mom wanted to have a BBQ, so I invited a few friends to come swim with their kids. The kids stayed in the pool from 10:30 to 3:30, with two very forced breaks. Both Capri and JD are becoming very comfortable in the water, and are close to swimming. Despite repeated sunblock applications little JD is getting really dark!
Anyway, they had so much fun, but were melting down as we were leaving. JD passed out on the couch sitting up as soon as we got home and it took everything I had to wake the poor kid up for dinner! Thanks mom for a great lunch and another fun day!
We also decided to give Tella her first taste of food today. My doctor told me to do it 6 weeks ago... I'm just not interested in really doing it yet, and I think we can all agree that she doesn't need it! I did make my own food this time, and I think I will going forward. She'll just eat what we eat. She wasn't all that impressed with her first taste of sweet potatoes..... but Capri and JD were!
Getting suntans, I look terrible!... Capri is holding her floaties so no one will take them. She's very possessive and protective of her stuff!
Two more swim classes, and I skipped it this morning. And James joins me on the diet tomorrow, but not before one last pizzookie. Yes, I had some. Uhhhh. But, I didn't overindulge as I would before. So, small pat on the back for that one. That's what my method has been thus far - eating right, smaller portions, and the biggest part SELF CONTROL.
Sounds like another really fun day. They are getting so big...the kids feeding Tella is so darling...the giant Shamu for Scuff looks so fun for him...Tellas eye's are stuns...you are doing GREAT with the diet..how hard it would be to be nipped on pizzookie, shows amazing self control....
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to do it again Larissa. Although it was a blessing, I didn't get to play because of the special visitor. I really wanted to play with the kdis in the pool.
ReplyDeleteKnowing how fast these sweet years go by, I'll take every opportunity I can to enter into their world. I love their world!!!! It's way better than ours.
