JD has been been practically begging us to take him to Sea World. Finally today I renewed my pass so we could go. We ended up arriving just in time for the shamu show, and JD was so excited he was practically squealing and screaming.
Here he is mid-squeal...
We saw the sharks, the bat rays, the manatees (which the kids LOVE), the penguins, the polar bears, the belugas and a walrus.
Capri picked mermaids, though she deliberated over a Barbie for a while. I thought the barbie was cute, but I'm happy we haven't quite made it to Barbie yet. She just seems little still, Barbie seems so old for her. Soon enough, I'm sure.

Interesting side note: My dad is in Africa right now. Kenya to be exact. Nairobi to be even more exact. Anyway, as I was talking to my mom today she mentioned that while they (my dad and the team) were working on a school today in Kenya they were digging and found water. The water was found to be unsuitable for drinking. Before leaving my dad just happened to pack a water purification system in his suitcase, just in case. When they found the water to be unsuitable he went back to his suitcases and returned with the system and gave it to the principal who was in tears overwhelmed with gratefulness. Now, because of that just in case water purifier, 175 children have clean water to drink. You read that right, 175 kids. I can't help but see the Lord's hand all over that. And I can't help but think, what in the world were all those kids doing before for water? Is it that simple, a small purifier makes that big of a difference? Food for thought, and hopefully thought provoking action on my part.
Also, just three more swim classes. Can't say I'm sad. It's been a battle to get up and go these past few days. I've begun looking into more classes for the fall semester.... but with 2 kids in preschool none of the times seem to be working out. I'm looking at maybe a dance class like ballet instead. I'm not much of a graceful girl, but I hear its hard work. I just need a class, with an instructor and I'll do it. Oh, and another interesting side note: Mr.19 just lost 46 pounds. He says the key for him was doughnuts and in-n-out, which I don't believe. I do, however, believe he was overweight. He still kind of is. I'm just sayin'.
That's it.
What a fun day...that's soo great that you are so close to Sea World that you can have a pass and go often...The kids look adorable, and I agree on the Barbie. Mel had them when she was much younger, but she didn't actually play with them till she was a good 11, haha...And what a neat story about the water purifier system... I LOVE it...it seems so unbelievable that it can have such a direct affect on soo many...A dance class sounds good in my opinion...Mel is trying to figure out something she can PLAY (sport wise) that will serve for exercise, haha...Me, I am comimg closer to getting on that treadmill...the knees are "slightly" improved...that's funny about Mr. 19, haha...Have a good day....love you, mom
