We're excited for spring.... and we've begun the preparations.
We're planting flowers,
and are learning to stop sucking our thumb! Which really has nothing to do with spring. I'm going with it though. It's springtime, and it's also stop-sucking-thumb-time.
I got creative and put a glove on her hand when she sleeps and it's working really well. She isn't complaining, she wants to stop too. I've already completely removed her "blankie".
The incentive? The new Strawberry Shortcake swimming pool set for her dolls. She's all about the strawberry shortcake stuff right now.
We're so close to kicking this habit, and I'm kinda sad to see it go. She's so cute when she has her blankie and thumb. But she's a BIG girl now, time to stop. And, it doesn't diminish her cuteness one bit!

Spring Cleaning. Boo. But boy does it need to be done.
Spring wardrobe! LOVE this one. Just did a little shopping yesterday at Old Navy and am considering going again. I have this nifty little 30 % off coupon that lasts all weekend and I can use it at Gap and Old Navy as many times as I want!

How in the world did I miss this post? SIGH...I am soo skittered sometimes, haha... First, the pics are darling. Nernie in the glasses and hat are adorable. And JD's face with his plant? Soo cute. And what a BIG girl Capri is. I can't believe "white blankie" is gone. The glove was a wonderful idea. Good thing she wants to cooperate. And I am with you...YAY...on spring time wardrobe shopping. ReplyDeleteI should not even admit how many times I have been to Old Navy this month (and might have possibly made more than one online purchase also). I couldn't help myself, the summer deals are ridiculous! So I say you should go again! ;)

ReplyDeleteYou know, my roommate in college sucked her fingers and had a ratty piece of her blankie that she brought to college with her. She'd rub her nose with her blankie and suck on her fingers. I say if Capri stops before college she'll be okay ;) I still crack up when I think of my college roommate, and her name was Sissy. Seriously. That was her name. Not a nickname. Okay, I'm done reminiscing! How nice is it that she is totally cooperating too! Makes it much easier for Mama!
